Aparna Bhat, DMD, MD, is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a specialized focus in cleft and craniofacial surgery. Originally from the central coast of California, Dr. Bhat earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She received her dental degree from the University of New England College of Dental Medicine and subsequently completed her medical education and oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Washington.

Following residency, Dr. Bhat completed a fellowship in pediatric cleft and craniofacial surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Pat Ricalde in Tampa, Florida. Throughout her training, she developed extensive experience caring for children and adolescents with craniofacial differences, with expertise in cleft lip and palate repair, alveolar bone grafting, and orthognathic surgery.

Dr. Bhat is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care. She is passionate about improving long-term outcomes for patients with cleft and craniofacial conditions through surgical excellence, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to advancing the field. In her spare time, Dr. Bhat enjoys spending time with her friends and family and exploring Washington.
